I am moving out and living on my own from now on. It is a decision that my parents were not very happy with, but it was my decision to make. I think I have the means to make it on my own, but it is going to be very tough, especially from a financial point of view. I need to buy car insurance as soon as possible, because my coverage is going to lapse in the near future otherwise. As such, I am trying to find the cheapest car insurance policy that I can possibly get as a teenager. I know it will be more expensive because I am a teenager and do not have several years of driving experience on my record. However, I have had my license for 3 years now, so maybe that counts for something.
My father canceled my car insurance policy when we got into a fight over me moving out. I am not moving out because we got into a fight, or anything like that. Rather, I am moving out because I need my space, and I got into a fight with my parents about moving out, because they do not understand my reasoning. I guess there is nothing that can be done about that; now my focus needs to be on getting a car insurance policy that I can actually afford. If I do not find one soon, then I will not be able to continue to drive my car legally. I am going to try to find an extra part-time job, and I think that I might need it to be able to pay all of my bills, such as the added expense of having to pay for my own car insurance. I do have some faith that I can manage to get by financially though.
